Success Rates

Increase your chances of becoming pregnant

When infertility stands between you and your hopes for a family, there’s only one word that matters: success. The In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) success rates of the Northwest Center for Reproductive Sciences are among the highest nationally, a distinction we are proud to share with you. Our superior IVF and embryology procedures enabled us to achieve 370 pregnancies from 2005 - 2007.

IVF Success Rates

The following table summarizes the success rates from all IVF cycles done by the Northwest Center for Reproductive Sciences from 2005 through 2007:

Definitions:
IVF Cycle – One complete pregnancy attempt, from harvesting the egg(s) through In Vitro fertilization and transferring the fertilized egg to the uterus.
Embryo Transfer – The process in which an egg that has been fertilized In Vitro is transferred into a recipient's uterus.

It is important to note that we have included the total population of IVF embryo transfer patients for our clinic in these results - rather than showing you only the most favorable prognosis groups or age groups. We take pride in making sure our patients have the information they need to make informed decisions concerning their infertility treatment.

Average pregnancy rates are helpful but not all patients have the same chance of achieving a successful pregnancy. The IVF success rate data shown in the following table help us to predict IVF outcomes as we evaluate individual patients. As you can see, IVF success rates vary greatly depending on a woman’s age and health.

The truth about IVF success rates

A comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful. Patient medical characteristics may vary from clinic to clinic, and there are many ways to measure and compare success. We recommend that people seeking infertility treatments try to gain7 a complete picture as they evaluate clinics, in terms of the doctors’ experience, the embryology lab’s capabilities, the sophistication of the clinic’s IVF procedures, and the completeness of its infertility treatment services.

Continual improvement of our infertility treatments

Throughout their distinguished careers, our senior physicians and scientists have dedicated themselves to continually improving the quality of the IVF process throughout over 20,000 IVF cases they’ve been involved in. Since joining forces to form NCRS, we have been able to consistently achieve high pregnancy rates, and then improve upon those results. That is why NCRS is nationally recognized for its excellence in treating infertility.
