Our Doctors
The Northwest Center for Reproductive Sciences is a partnership of four principal senior physicians and scientists who have been featured in the Seattle Magazine “Top Doctors” issue. The senior staff members, including physicians, laboratory scientists, and administrators, each possess over 20 years of experience in the reproductive medicine field.
Dr. Gerard S. Letterie practiced at the Virginia Mason clinic for 13 years prior to joining forces with the other physicians and scientists to form the NCRS.
Dr. Janet L. Kennedy practiced reproductive endocrinology in Baltimore for 20 years; four years at the University of Maryland and then 16 years in private practice.
Dr. Michael S. Opsahl retired from the United States Navy as Division Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Bethesdas Naval Hospital, and then practiced reproductive endocrinology at the Genetics & IVF Institute in Fairfax, VA for 10 years, becoming the Medical Director for REI.
Dr. Klaus Wiemer, a Ph.D. scientist, and embryologist led the embryology staff of several successful clinics before starting his own consulting business.
